Killing Elvis

COMPANY NEWS - Apr. 15, 2006 - Lazy Bear Productions Presents: Killing Elvis

A select few of you have been brought into the fold, but for the rest of you, get ready for a big announcement. Lazy Bear Productions has officially begun production on its most ambitious project yet: Killing Elvis. This roughly-feature-length film will be shot this summer and ready for your consumption by the end of the year. We intend to keep you fully updated throughout the process by way of our first ever sister site www.KillingElvisMovie.com. Head over there now for an exclusive first peek at the teaser trailer which will be premiering tonight at the Back Row Film Festival's kickoff event in Chattanooga. Check back often as we will be keeping the site fully stocked with plot info, behind the scenes production videos, and interviews with the cast. As always, we'd really appreciate your feedback over at the Lazy Bear Productions Web Board.

Additionally, we apologize to our PodCorn listeners for our lateness on our 10th episode. We actually recorded it once already, but technical difficulties resulted in it being unusable. We'll catch you next weekend; we promise.

COMPANY NEWS - Feb. 20, 2006 - PodCorn's Been Around for Awhile; You Should Care
PodCornSince last you've heard from us, two new episodes of PodCorn have come out. So far we haven't missed a week of quality movie news and reviews. If you're not among the informed, PodCorn is a weekly show wherein Logan and Ryan review the latest flicks as well as the timeless classics, all with a liberal dose of their patented hilarious banter. You can come to the site each week and download the new episode and any you've missed, or you can setup iTunes or you favorite podcatcher to grab the shows automatically. Last week the boys chatted about Eli Roth's Hostel and the French thriller High Tension. This week, they try to convince you to rent the forgotten gem Undead as well as sharing some of their all time favorite flicks. All this and more can be found right here.

And don't forget, DVDs of the Hunter Museum showing of Three Conversations, Demon Alcohol, and the short film Rosebud! The Musical are still up for sale at our new online store. You get the flicks, a commentary track by Logan and Ryan, the uncut version of Rosebud! not seen at the Hunter, a photo gallery with over 150 pictures, The Making of Three Conversations, The Making of Rosebud! The Musical, and an hilarious blooper reel. A complete steal at only $5 a pop.

COMPANY NEWS - Feb. 6, 2006 - Stick Us in Your Ears Every Week with the New Lazy Bear Podcast

PodCornThe big news today is the debut of PodCorn, our brand new weekly podcast. Each week Logan and Ryan will review the latest flicks as well as the timeless classics, all with a liberal dose of their patented hilarious banter. And you can download the episodes directly to your iPod or other portable music-a-bob. Of course if you don't have one, you can just listen right from the comfort of your computer.

Click here to check out the first episode "The Three Faces of Kong" wherein the boys review Peter Jackson's "King Kong" remake as well as the 1933 original and the cheesy 70's version, plus reveal the Top 10 Animal Love Movies. If you like what you hear, you'll find subscription instructions on that same page. (It's free of course.) Or if you already know all about this sort of thing, here's the feed url: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Podcorn. Critique and criticism are welcome as always.

Guess what else! That's right, our PSA parody Demon Alcohol has been excepted into No Festival Required, a nearly monthly Phoenix, Arizona film fest. Steve Weiss, one of the festival organizers, saw our stuff on Google Video and contacted us. We probably won't be able to get away from school/work/being-awesome to attend the festival, but Steve said he'd keep us updated as to when it shows and how it's received. We'll pass that info on to you as always. Speaking of Google Video, good news about them in the website news section...

WEBSITE NEWS - Feb. 6, 2006 - Embeded Video Makes Lazy Bear Flicks Far Too Available

As we mentioned last week, we've been dipping our toes into the waters of Google Video which first hosted How to Make Your Movie! (Part One) and then Demon Alcohol. We're happy to say that we have now moved our entire clips archive over to their site. However, you won't need to deal with their admittedly clumsy interface to watch.

Just go to the clips page as usual and you will find each clip playable from the page itself with no download required. That means that those of you with Macs who were complaining of compatibility problems with our wmv files should now be able to shut the hell up already. If you have a desire to download any of the clips, you can do so by searching for them at Google Video, but you'll need the Google player as well. The better option is to just drop us an email and we'll get you the file you want. But if want to enjoy Demon Alcohol, Three Conversations, or Rosebud! The Musical to their fullest, you're best option is to shell out the measly $5 for the DVD.
