Description: Ryan wanders around aimlessly, lip-syncing to Elton John's plaintive pleas for some lovin' while accidentally getting himself into some wacky shenanigans.
Background: One of several Lazy Bear films (many of which were Dr. Love-related) that came about during Logan and Ryan's first year in college in Fall of 2001, this project was originally abandoned due to lack of equipment, actors, location (the original University Center was soon shut down for remodeling; the newly remodeled version appears in the film), and general lack of interest. It was revived four years later in the Spring of 2005 when Ryan had to make a music video for a class. Logan wrote the script as a parody of the Elton John video, "I Want Love". In the original video, Robert Downey Jr. (making a completely out-of-the-blue appearance) lip-syncs to the song while wandering aimlessly through an empty house. The video has no cuts. The original Lazy Bear script featured Dr. Love (then called Dr. Logan) doing this exact same thing for one continuous shot (albeit with far more wacky asides along the way) and was called "Dr. Logan Wants Love". By the time the script was produced, the Dr. Love character had become a bit boring to the boys. So Ryan asked Logan to simply play himself. Unfortunately, his schedule wouldn't allow it, so Ryan took over the role, rewriting the script in the process and making this the first Lazy Bear project that didn't involve Logan during the actual production. Although many of the gags were reworked, all of the little bits of business (like the wacky dance moves, and the mime-in-a-box motion) were retained from the original, and Ryan admits to channeling Logan's Dr. Love character heavily during the shoot.

Trivia
• Ryan knew Zach Ames and Daniel Hooper would help him shoot the video, but was worried right up to the day of shooting that the script needed something extra, and was afraid he wouldn't have enough people to pull everything off. Finally, six hours before the shoot, he came up with the idea of hitting on a girl which would result in her boyfriend beating him up. He quickly called Zach and asked him to play the part and find some friends who could pick up the slack behind the scenes. Luckily Zach had already planned on bringing along master actor Zech Hook, and audio expert Rhys Dawson. All Ryan needed was a girl (as he has often been told). He called Dana Hernandez (who had been requesting a role with Lazy Bear since Three Conversations) and asked if she was free. When she said she was, Ryan began the standard "please do our movie" pitch, but Dana interrupted him with the question "Is it a Ryan DiGiorgi film?" When he confirmed it was, she replied "Then I'll do it."
• Ryan arrived to the location about an hour early and blocked out the scene while listening to the song on his walkman. His lip-syncing drew some looks. During this time, he came up with the gag where he steals the soda. This replaced a joke in the original where, after running away from Zach, he was handed a cup of water marathon style and drank it while the song continued playing. When the cast and crew arrived, Ryan walked them through the blocking. Then they did one dry run. The first recorded take was the one that was used. There are a few minor problems with it, and Ryan would have liked to do one more, but everyone, including him, was ready to call it good and head home
• Actress Dana Hernandez claims she is the star of this film.
• The first cut of the video was done for Ryan's Video Productions II class. For the class, Ryan was required to edit on school equipment using FinalCut Pro. Later, Ryan re-edited on the Lazy Bear machine using the more familiar Adobe Premiere which allowed him a little more control over details like the audio sync. The class cut lacks the end credits and the punching and screaming during the beating which were all Logan Lee's suggestions.
• As you can hear over the end credits, Ryan did actually sing to make his lip-syncing more convincing. It didn't particularly help, but it sure makes for some funny credits.
• Though Ryan was sure he had the lyrics down before arriving to film, he stumbled through them horribly during the dry run. Production was shut down for about ten minutes to allow him to rehearse before the first (and final) take was shot.
• The video premiered on Valentine's Day making it Lazy Bear's third project to be linked to a holiday. The first was Blender Agenda (Halloween), and the second was Holiday Problems! (Christmas).
