Writing Credits: Logan Lee
Ryan DiGiorgi
Genre: Comedy / Public Service / Substance Abuse
Tagline: The happenin' "kick" that will have you grooving all the way to THE GRAVE!
Description: A special public service announcement from your friends at Lazy Bear on the dangers of drinking. An obviously inebriated Logan attempts to drive drunk, however when Ryan demands his keys, he's more than happy to oblige which undercuts the drama a bit. Ultimately, an important lesson is learned about the situation when drinking can harm you the most. Tell your children.
Background: Demon Alcohol came about much the same way as the The Package did. Ryan happened to be borrowing a camera for a class and didn't want to waste the opportunity to get another Lazy Bear film in the can. He checked his files for something simple that could be shot in one or two days and found an old idea about a "don't drink and drive" PSA that turned into a "don't drink and act" PSA.
Runtime: 3.5 minutes

Trivia
• When Ryan found out he'd have a camera for the weekend, he looked in his idea list for something he and Logan could shoot quickly. Here's the year-old entry he found: "don't drink PSA that involves no driving, just acting. guy won't listen to his friend and gets drunk, he's too drunk to play a drunk in a don't drink PSA. he learns his lesson, sobers up, and plays a better drunk." Demon Alcohol was born. Actually, Ryan sent both this idea and one about two geeks arguing over how overrated Star Wars is (a parody of Clerks) to Logan, and Logan liked the drunk one better.
• The flask Logan drinks from was the prop that got cut from The Package.
• Logan drives his actual car, the same one Dr. Logan drives in Dr. Logan's Day Out.
• The original cut had Logan and Ryan waiting far longer for Logan to sober up. However, Ryan's dad said it was too long and suggested they scale it back somehow. Ryan compromised by using the white flashes. This had the duel advantage of allowing him to cut around to the best parts of all three takes rather than sticking with just one.
• Careful viewers may (depending on whether they see it on a TV screen or online) notice a white area in the upper right corner of the screen. This is part of our homemade rain-shield, a soft-plastic CD sleeve draped over the camera to protect it from the elements. It gets cropped off on most TV sets.
• The poster is a very accurate (if we do say so ourselves) parody of the poster for the anti-drug propaganda film Reefer Madness. Check out the comparison of the original and our version. Then email Ryan and tell him how much he rocks.
• The film was already at the editing stage before it was given a name. The title is a reference to The Kinks song of the same name.
• Ryan reads from the actual script when he gives Logan his lines.
• It's hard to make out, but Logan wears a very stylish red batman shirt.
• During the best take of Logan's line "I go coffee shower now", Ryan flubbed the previous line. Instead of "Good, now go sober up" which indicates that he wasn't paying attention to Logan's argument, he accidentally said "Look, just go sober up" which implied that he had in fact heard Logan. That's 34% less funny, folks. To correct the error, the audio from one of Ryan's previous takes was used. You can tell if you listen closely. The sound of a car driving by is momentarily interrupted when the dubbed audio cuts in.
• This film was edited almost to completion three separate times. The first two passes were corrupted due to hard drive problems (as discussed here).
